    Hi Brian T!

Thank you for writing to the Microsoft Answer Community Forum, I am Shakiru, an advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.

I understand you are having an issue with enabling Macros in Microsoft Excel after Windows 11 updates.

    Please do the following:

    • Try updating Microsoft Office if there are any pending updates.
    • Try resetting Microsoft Store Apps: Right-click on the Start Windiows> Click Run> type WSreset.exe: that should open the store> Reboot the PC and try enabling the Macros again -Try troubleshooting Windows Updates through the system troubleshoot in the settings -Try turning OFF the Windows defender, open Microsoft Excel> Enable the Windows defender and then Turn ON the Windows Defender> Reboot the PC

Kindly reply if you require further assistance. Thank you

    Best Regards, Shakiru

I went through the suggested fixes and the problem still exists. Each time I enable macros and save the change the Marco defaults back to disabled.

    Hi Brian T!

    Thank you for your response.

You may need to uninstall the last updates since the issue started after the last updates, Then try enabling Macros after uninstalling the Windows updates

    Kind Regards, Shakiru
