I am getting the following error when I try and access my work account to update details. Although I have authenticator on my phone, I receive no request.

Error Code: 500121

Request Id: 1b691b4f-f065-4412-995f-fb9758c60100

Correlation Id: fa94bd66-e9c4-4e10-ab9d-0223d2c99501

I found a previous post with a very similar problem .

Unfortunately, I am the only admin for my organisation.

Previous post said that the responder would contact in a private message.

Could you advise how I can proceed to re-gain access to the admin for this.

Many Thanks

Andy

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. My name is John and I’d be more than happy to help you with your query.

I really apologize for it. I completely comprehend your current position, as I previously experienced the identical exact issue and error message. To fix the problem, take these steps:

    1. Username and password are required.
    2. Don't click next when it says "More information required."
    3. Simply click "Use a different account."

Then select the same account from the list once more.

Please don't hesitate to post back for further questions. I hope it will also work for you. Fingers crossed! Best regards, John

    Hi Andy

I'm Anna and I'd be happy to help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Sorry for the trouble this might have caused. This typically occurs when authentication failed as part of the multi-factor authentication (MFA) request, it may indicate a configuration or service error.

To resolve this issue, can you try resetting (requiring re-register) MFA?

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    Anna
