Font Differences between Mac and Windows

I'm using Word 16.66.1 on Mac and Windows H+S 2016 Word. Just recently when I moved a file from my Mac over to the Windows machine, a font misbehaved and enlarged itself by 2 points. The really odd thing was the font itself was registering at the correct size value even though, comparably, it was larger than the original. I already checked to make sure I was at the correct zoom ratio (100%) and the error persisted. It even created spill over in my table setup which doesn't exist in the Mac version. Now I know there should be little hiccups between the two versions but this is a core font shared between both systems. I verified I was using a Windows font on my Mac (Copperplate Goth, so I'm completely lost.

It doesn't happen with other fonts that I've seen. This is insane because having to drop a font size down 2 points every time I switch devices.

The first screen shot is showing the font in All Caps, the second is using Small Caps. The point size will display as the same, but the size relates only to the initial capital in small caps text.

The shots do not appear to be using identical fonts. This is visible on the inside of the cap A, which has a thinner crossbar that is lower on the first screen shot.

If you can upload the file to a cloud service, then post a share link here, I can give you more precise details about which file is picking up the wrong font.

The problem is on your Mac, not Windows. Your Mac file is not using the Microsoft Copperplate Gothic. Your Windows file is.

Here's the repaired Word file with the headings set to 10pt. Microsoft Copperplate Gothic Bold Small Caps, plus PDFs showing the appearance under both macOS and Windows: Copperplate Gothic Font Fixed

They're for invoice forms. Both fonts are Copperplate Gothic Regular set to 10 point at 100% zoom.

That sounds like the font is not correctly installed on one of the machines. Word will display the expected font name in the font dropdown, even when it is not installed.

Please post screen shots from both computers that shows the difference.

    2 Items

That should be the Mac version and the Windows interpretation of it. I know they don't appear to be using the same font, but according to Word, they are. As for the capitalization, I even retyped the words and still bugged.
