MS Lists -- Vertical view

In MS Lists I have a multistep process for complaints filed that would be much easier to follow in a vertical format rather than the default horizontal format -- this is when looking at the whole list in the grid. In other words, I would like to list 'column' headers (row headers??) vertically instead of horizontally in the grid view. Is this possible? I have searched everywhere and cannot find any information on how this could be done.

    Dear Stephanie,

Good day. Welcome to Microsoft 365 and Office Community.

Columns or fields run horizontally and define the attributes for your items. Items run vertically and define the values of the attributes. So, I’m afraid, there is no view or option to make the columns run horizontally.

Well, that's disappointing, but I do understand. Thank you for the reply.
