Question about OneDrive plan sharing with multiple email IDs

Hey, I am interested in subscribing to OneDrive the Microsoft 365 Family plan. I just have one question before proceeding because I tried to search and I found contradicting answers.

So the plan comes with 1TB/user with up to 6 users. I will use it to back up my personal data with my personal email account, but also I have another email for my business that I want to add to the plan as a user to back up the business files. I will be using the same laptop as I am the business owner. Also, I want to share another user with one family member with that we share the same laptop at home.

Will that be okay? I read some contradicting answers that if more than one user uses the same PC to log in and back up data, then Microsoft could suspend the whole account and it's making me hesitate and confused about whether the OneDrive family plan is right for me.

I won't fully use the 1TB in any of the accounts, but I just want to have one user for my personal data, and one user for my business file. In addition to adding one more family member where we use the same laptop at home.

Hi IsaAl, Thank you for reaching out to us. I am Blessing, an independent advisor here and a Microsoft user like you. If Microsoft suspects usual activity with your account, Microsoft will lock the account. However, with Microsoft 365 Family subscription, you can share the subscription with up to 5 Microsoft accounts. You can have multiple work or school accounts, but only one Personal OneDrive account signed in to OneDrive. https://support.microsoft.com/office/31b59063-5a94-4847-b846-c13b9e7635e2 Hope this helps!

Hey, thanks for your reply and clarification!

I will have only one personal account for myself, and one business account. However, I will add one family member to the plan and they will use their own personal account as well, and we use the same laptop. would that be accepted?

I am just making sure if this plan is right for me, not to get my account locked or lose my data.
