Color Display Problem in Excel

I just started having an issue in Excel. It appears to only happen in Excel. I first noticed the colors of my tabs changed, but also the input bar is two-toned. Here is a picture of the input bar:

Here is a picture of one of my tabs and the color selector. The tab called Sheet2 is supposed to be a dark red (crimson), but it is almost a pinkish red like watermelon.

Here is another: the tab labeled Sheet2 is supposed to be light green, but clearly it is yellow

Any hints on how to fix this? If it was just the color, I could probably live with it, but not being able to see the text at the top is very annoying.

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for posting your question in this community. From your description, you would like to resolve Color Display Problem in Excel. I love helping other users in the Community by sharing my experience with Microsoft products.

If you're experiencing issues with the fill color not displaying properly in Excel, there are a few things you can do to fix the problem.

First, make sure that the cells you're trying to fill are actually selected. If they're not, the fill color won't show up.
Next, check the fill color palette to see if the color you're trying to use is actually available. If it's not, you won't be able to use it.
If both of those things are set up correctly and you're still having trouble, try restarting Excel. Sometimes the program just needs a fresh start in order to work properly.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

    Have a great time ahead!

    Regards,
    Amaka

    Hello @amaka_o

I am experiencing the same problem right now. I've already reinstall the Office 365 but the same problem happens.

There is another new problem that may or maynot be related to this on.

    .

One person has reported a problem similar to this along with the other problem .

    .

These are both video display issues.

    .

Try the standard Office trouble shooting process:

    • restart Excel
    • restart Windows
    • Start Excel in safe mode
    • Start Windows in Safe mode
    • repair Office
    • re-install Office.

There is a good chance you have already tried some, but don't skip any.

There is one more thing you can try. A couple of people have reported that creating a new Windows UserID has fixed some of the problems

Other than that, to get back to work you can use the "sledge hammer approach",

re-installing an older version of Office gets them working again until MS responds to the issue.
