MS Projects

We are currently using MS Projects, and some of our users were set up with groups not stored in our active directory. I sync'd the settings to active directory and now a handful of users cannot access a file within projects. The error is "The selected projects could not be opened in Project Professional 2016. This is probably because you either do not have permissions to open these projects or because they have been deleted"

I confirmed user has Project plan 3, Projects installed on PC, access to the file (confirmed is not deleted)

    Dear James,

    Welcome to the forum here.

Please first check whether you are using Project Permission Mode or SharePoint Mode.

If you are using Project Permission Mode, you may first add users to the User group and give them permissions to access the specific project.

Thanks for your effort and time!

    Sincerely,

    Cliff | Microsoft Community Moderator
