    Dear Jason Stallings,

Good day! Thanks for querying in this forum. We’re happy to help you.

I go through your post carefully and as per your description, you found that one specific column that contains data appears to be empty in SharePoint list.

If my understanding is right, based on the screenshot you provided, we have done some test on our side, created a multi-line text column in list and added the value to the created item, the value appeared both in grid view and the list default view as shown below.

At meantime, may I know the following information at your convenience?

    1. Does this scenario occur in the other lists in this site? May I know if this happens to the other lists in the other SharePoint sites?
    2. How about the other colleagues in your organization? Do they have the same issue in this list?
    3. Will the same issue occur if you delete the column and create it again?

If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, you can also post back and point that.

Your patience and understanding are highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    1. Yes.
    2. Yes.
    3. I am worried about data loss trying this. I have created new columns and those do not work either.

    Dear Jason,

Thanks for sharing updates with us and I really appreciate your effort and your precious time doing those tests.

Given this situation, we do understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it. Since we cannot reproduce the same situation as yours, and different users, different lists and different sites have the same problem, this issue may be related to your tenant and may need to be checked from background. The best way to troubleshoot the issue is to report the issue to the related Team. We’d suggest you contact your office 365 administrator to go to Office 365 Admin Center-> Support-> New Service Request, the support engineers there have the correct escalation channel, and this is the most efficient way to report such issue. You can refer to this article to check the way how to raise a ticket. Ways to contact support for business products - Admin help. The engineers in related team have higher permission and resources than us to help check the root cause from background directly.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,
