Powerpoint - Paste Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object

Hello,

In a nutshell, I am basically trying to vlookup from a chart in excel to my powerpoint so when I change data in excel it automatically updates in my powerpoint. I tried the Paste Special > Paste Link > Microsoft Worksheet Object feature, but after about 10 slides I saved and closed, and when I reopened and updated links, it blew up, crashed and corrupted my file. Does anyone know if there is a better way to do this or if there is a way to mitigate the crashing?

My decks are up to 100 slides, so it is a major time suck to redo the entire presentation just because I need to change 1 factor that affects all of my data.

Thank you in advance for any help,

Adam

You might try anOffice repair before trying again. I create Excel links in PowerPoint regularly and rarely have a problem.

When creating a file, use File>Save As and change the name slightly. If you do that every hour, you can never lose more than an hour's work.
