    Hello,

Power Query in Excel for Mac is limited when compared with Power Query in Excel for Windows. I suggest you refer to this article for more information: Import data in Excel for Mac (Power Query)

In addition, please also look at this article to know the Power Query features in different Excel versions. Power Query data sources in Excel versions (microsoft.com)

At last, you can also submit your idea to the Excel Feedback community (Excel · Community (microsoft.com)).

    Appreciate your understanding!!

    Best Regards,

    Chitrahaas

    Hi

PowerQuery is available to Office 365 subscribers in current Excel for Mac update, which is version 16.60. There may be other license type restrictions.

To display your update level and license type, use the Menu Bar and choose Excel > About Microsoft Excel. PowerQuery is on the Data tab of the Ribbon in the group labeled Get and Transform Data.

Please keep in mind this feature is still under development on the Mac. At the moment there are only two connectors: Excel Workbook and Text/CSV and these are only a few weeks old. My hope is that Microsoft continues working on this and brings out new connectors.

Also, the interface is not completely built, yet. Here's a screen shot from Excel for Windows. It shows the Transform Data button, which is missing in the Mac version. On the Mac, Transform Data does work, but at the moment you have to use Transform Data programmatically using Visual Basic for Applications, AppleScript, or JavaScript.

    Hi Chitrahaas

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this problem limits the use of Excel on Mac.

    I will consider alternatives.

    Best regards

    Nicola

    Hi Jim.

    Thank you for your recommendation!

    Unfortunately I'm not an "insider".

Do you think I can have this beta version? If so, how?

Thanks again for your precious time.

    Nicola
