Word source location

Hello!

I’m trying to export my Word source file. The source manager tool is working, and all my references are there as always. When I click “Browse” in the source manager tab, the XML file appears, but I can’t copy it, nor go to its location as a folder. When I right click and select open in new window, an error occurs that says the the location is unavailable. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks for your answer! Somehow I managed to solve it (though I’m not sure how).

    Hello there,

Thanks for reaching out here regarding this query!

Do you perhaps have OneDrive running while you use your files?

That may be part of the reason why.

This could be that the files of your OneDrive has not been fully synced, thus causing this to happen. You can try to transfer or copy and paste the file to another location wherein OneDrive is not setup such as your local computer's location.

In that case, you need to try to pause the syncing then resume the syncing of your OneDrive

If the issue is not from OneDrive, it could be the hard drive or network of your computer.

You would need to try to open the folder name with your username, right click on desktop, select properties and under location tab, restore default button. After that, try to restart your PC.

Another way we can do for that is to run files repair. For more information, I suggest you refer to this for more troubleshooting steps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-file-explorer-if-it-won-t-open-or-start-ce614e06-be97-fe4a-a7ce-d6bf13a8cb98

    Hope this helps!

    Warm regards, Albert
