Azure VPN client availability on MacOS?

As stated here : https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/general-availability-ga-of-azure-vpn-client-for-macos/, the Azure VPN client for MacOS is GA since August 9th but it seems that the App Store is not available for everyone. I am getting an "App not available in region or country" error with my account (Screenshot in french below)

Am I missing something or is there a misconfiguration on the AppStore side?

Below is the update I received from Azure VPN PG regarding your issue:

The client software is available in all regions EXCEPT where local governments have restrictions around the use of VPN.
We are also constrained by Apple’s App Store policies and they do not publish VPN software in China and I believe France per governmental regulations.

Thanks for the update but I don't believe France is limiting the usage of VPN as a lot of those applications are available in the App Store. Could you double check this?

The biggest problem for me is that I would like to use your solution to help the Azure migration in my company and this really is a blocker. Do you have another way we could use Azure gateway with AAD authentication if this client is not available?

I contacted the Azure VPN PG again and below is the update I received:

France has some special requirements that have to be met before Apple store will publish the App.

They are checking to see how we can get unblocked.
I will keep you updated on any further news on this.

The PG working on publishing the VPN app updated the below:

We are waiting for regulatory review for publishing our VPN App in France region. Please check back in couple of weeks.

I will contact them again in Sept 1st week and will let you know the status.

The latest update that I have from the PG team is that they still do not have approval to publish the App in France region.
They will be updating this information in the Microsoft Learn soon.

It is still unavailable in France and the backend team is trying to update the documentation to include this information.

I just wanted to check how many users from your organization would like to connect to Azure VPN client on Mac OS in France region as Azure do not have approval to publish the App in France region for now. Do you have an estimate on your end? This would help us expediting the process.

On our side around 100 users would need to use this client daily and we are currently implementing a mediocre alternative solution because we are already in a production mode on Azure.

I've provided this information to the backend team but looks like it will take some more time to publish the VPN client App for MacOS in France region.
We already have a statement in the below article that the Azure VPN client may not be available in all regions due to local regulations but the backend team will update this statement to include specific regions such as China & France:

Thanks for the update but that's not really what I was hoping for.

I understand that Apple validation process can be long but isn't there another method for us to acces this client like a download of an installer or something like this?

We understand your urgency & requirement and apologies for the unavailability of the VPN client.

I checked with the VPN Product team again and they mentioned that the only supported install method is through Apple Store currently. Unfortunately, you would have to wait till the App is published in the region.
