VISIO returning error message when try to copy or cut

I have been working on my file without issue for some time - it has a lot of tabs (70 - and ultimately expected to be more like 130), but still under 3000KB file size. It had been behaving totally normally, but all of a sudden when I went to cut some text within a text box I got the following pop up (also tried copying it, get same message but with 'Action 1021: Copy' instead of Action 1020: 'Cut'... pasting still works fine from external source into that file) - as per the advisory, I have closed and re-opened the file, and I have restarted VISIO. I have also saved the file under a new file name, but still getting the same issue.

In other VISIO files (similar size) the copy/cut is working fine, so it's specific to this file.

I hope there's a fix that isn't 'your file is corrupt, start over'; I don't want to have to painstakingly copy each tab into a new document!

    3. Try to open Visio in safe mode. Starting a Microsoft Office for Windows application in Office Safe Mode can allow you to safely use it when it has encountered certain problems. In the Run box, type one of these commands: For Visio: Type "visio /safe" and click OK.

    Thanks Ravi, really helpful suggestions.

In fact, stupid of me not to have checked this first, I subsequently found that copy and cut functions were still working in other tabs on that same file. So it was the tab itself that seemed to have corrupted. So I just deleted that tab and recreated the content (I was happy doing that for one tab just not all 70!!), and so far I've not reencountered the error

but if I find I get it again (and certainly if in multiple tabs) I will try all your suggest and report back

    thanks again

    Gayle
