In my Excel Environment I don't see the File Tab to access the backstage view. When I examine most of the Excel environment the tabs in the ribbon usually starts with File Tab...followed by Home Tab....... Insert Tab...... Draw Tab..... and so on.. Mine just starts with HOME tab and the FILE tab is missing. Ive tried all the possible excel ribbon manipulation that is available online but it doesn't work for me. Can someone help me to what's happening here. Thanks

Office for Mac has a menu bar that does not exist in Office for Windows. It is at the top of the window. You will find the File menu on the menu bar.

The features and functionality in the Windows version are almost all included in the Mac version, but they may be in different places or have different names.

If you tell us what you're looking for in particular, we can point you to the location in the Mac interface. A lot of the Backstage content is in New From Template on the File menu.

    Hi EmMN_1978!

I'm Jen, and I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

As far as I know, the Mac version does not have the File tab, that exists in the Windows Office programs only.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let us know and we'll be glad to assist you further.

    Best Regards!

    Jen :)

Hi Jen.... it was a very helpful info. Actually it was a relief. It make sense to me now. I've tried a lot of options available non of it mentioned being it different in Mac version. Does this mean I have to explore this issues in Windows OS only or is there a way I can incorporate this in a Mac OS?

Thanks for the info Jim. Im going to explore that however I'm trying to find where the Save Options for Auto Recovery time intervals. Though I find a similar command on your image under Browse version History. Where can I explore the Options of Auto Recovery time from 1-10 mins. And also the commands like Protect Workbook... Hi

There is no user interface for setting the AutoRecover time interval. It can be set using Visual Basic for Applications

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/vba/api/excel.autorecover.time

AutoRecover is a primitive recovery system that works only to recover workbooks that were open when Excel quit unexpectedly or was force-quit. Apple's Time Machine is a much safer way to go for version and backup of locally saved workbooks.
