Adding Distribution Groups to a Shared Mailbox

I created a Shared Mailbox and named it Holidays to add the company's holidays. I'm just curious if I'm able to add Distribution Groups to the shared mailbox so those groups can access the Holiday Calendar.

    Hello Marlene Azevedo,

Good day!! Thank you for post in Microsoft Community.

Based on your requirement, we have checked, and it isn’t feasible to add distribution group in Shared mailbox because when you open shared mailbox from Admin center to add members and type distribution group email id, it will not returned with any result. So, seems it isn’t feasible to add it. We do understand your concern and for the future prospect recommend to submit your valuable suggestion to our feedback team via Feedback · Community (microsoft.com). At this point, your kind cooperation will be highly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your precious time. Stay safe and healthy.

    Sincerely,

Ankita Vaidya | Microsoft Community Moderator
