    Dear SuriyaV19,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, please don’t worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

As you mentioned, "While saving a file in Excel , an extension gets added at the end" based on my test I cannot see the Timestamp extension added at the end of Excel saved file. To make a clear picture of your situation, If possible could you please upload a screenshot for our reference so we can understand your exact scenario and provide our suggestion in a productive manner, perhaps some related screenshots will be helpful.

Also, please confirm did you add any macro in your Excel document file?

In the meantime, please provide us the version information. To check version: Open Excel>File>Account>Product Information and capture a full screenshot and share here and we will be tested on that version and verify the result with you.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad

That is not a built-in Excel feature. You must have an add-in loaded that is doing that.
