Saving locally, I believe it's Client (office 365) not all excel files. It's a couple of simple spread sheets where names are constantly changing in a column but other columns the info stays the same. It's as if excel is doing the changes after an update(save) of new info. It is pulling old names and placing them in the spreadsheet, taking the new name out because an office rm number is the same.

Thanks for your help...I'll reach out to an IT tech...you won't be able to replicate with just a couple of tries and I can't send any info out for security reasons.

    Thanks again

    Dear Walter,

Good days, thanks for querying in our forum. We’re happy to help you.

From your description, it seems that the data in your Excel file has been replaced with old data.

May I know if my understanding is right? If so, we have also tested it on our side with the latest version of Excel and we saved the file in OneDrive for business and local at the same time, however, we cannot reproduce the same situation as yours.

Given this situation, to better understand your situation and narrow down this issue, could you also provide the information below?

    1. May I know if your file was saved in OneDrive for business or the local?
    2. May I know if all Excel files have the same problem?
    3. May I know if you are using Excel client or Excel for web? If you are using Excel client, could you go to Excel > File > Account and provide the full screenshot of Account page?
    4. May I know if the other Office files have the same problem? Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Sukie | Microsoft Community Moderator
