Hi Noor Ul Ain Ishtiaq,

I understand you are using Word for the web, and you wanted to insert table and pictures in the document. You can do this from the Insert tab, click Table and Picture to insert table and pictures respectively.

Reference: Add and format in Word for the web (microsoft.com)

Insert pictures (microsoft.com)

I agree there are limited features in Word for the web as compared to the desktop version, Advanced reference tools, such as creating a bibliography, table of contents, index, or table of authorities, are only available in the Word desktop app. To understand the difference between the two platform, please see:

Differences between using a document in the browser and in Word (microsoft.com)

Word for the web - Service Descriptions | Microsoft Docs

Besides, I totally get your frustration, I understand your predicament, I know how hard it is to work when things don’t go as expected and I agree it would be great if some of the features can be added so it is easier for the users using Word for the web, in this regard, I will request you please consider giving your feedback in Word feedback Portal and let the product group know your requirement. This is the quickest route to get your feedback to the developers’ ears.

Thanks for your understanding and co-operation.

With sincerest regards,

Neha
