Excel Missing formulas on some computers

Good day,

Some of my colleagues are having problems with Excel where some of the formulas are missing (=filter, =unique and some vba formulas Formula2 and others).

As far as I'm aware these should have been rolled out to all 365 users by now?

They have an Office 365 Business subscription. Excel version 1902 build 11328.20468

The company IT have run updates and the laptop has been restarted but they are still not available.

Can someone please assist with why this would be and how I can fix it?

Thanks in advance.

I spoke to the company IT and they say they updated as far as they were able to, but she's going in again tomorrow for them to check. Screenshot below shows all the information I can see.

I haven't checked other users yet, when she's back from IT tomorrow and the issues persists I will have a look.

That's weird then because the latest build for semi-annual enterprise channel is Version 2108 (Build 14326.20962).

Are they definitely signed in, with a current subscription? If so, I can only think it might be a network issue as they appear to have missed a lot of updates. What builds do the users who don't have the problem have installed?

    Hi Rory,

They are on the Semi-Annual channel.

    Hi Simone,

Thanks for posting in the community.

Normally, the functions FILTER and UNIQUE are currently available only to Microsoft 365 subscribers. Since you mentioned your colleagues have Office 365 Business subscription, I assume users use the Office applications in the screenshot. They can reconfirm the product via File> Account.

If so, please try the following suggestions to troubleshoot the issue further.

    1. Please try to set Excel into Safe Mode, then check if they can use these functions.

Close Excel, press win + R, in the Run box, type excel /safe, and click OK

    1. Please try to Repair Office and choose Online Repair. After that, run Excel and check again.

If the issue still exists, I would like to know if the issue exists in a specific workbook or also in a newly created workbook.

When you have time, please feel free and come back to share the updates with us.

    Regards,

    George

What release channel are they on? I think that build is about 18 months old.
