    Hello Shah801

    Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today.

    Not quite clear what you mean by "....are being saved as internet explorer ". Can you expand on what exactly is meant by that? Are you referring to .xls as "internet explorer by chance" - .an .xls file is the old native Excel file format

    When saving your worksheet as a CSV file are you making sure that CSV is selected as the file type as shown in the attached screenshot?

    Hi Karl,

    So when I saved my csv files they show up in my onedrive or download files as csv or xlsx type but it won't open as excel so I can work on it or send it as a attachment. When I try to change how to open it up, I don't see excel as an option but I do have office 365. Below is a screenshot of how I keep seeing these files. I turned off Microsoft edge from my control panel to see if that would help but it did not.

    What do you mean by "it won't open as excel"? If everything is configured correctly on your system in terms of the default apps associated with various file types, a CSV and .xlsx file will be opened by Excel by default

    >>

    When I try to change how to open it up, I don't see excel as an option

    <<

    So if you double-click on the file, are you saying that it's not opened by Excel. If yes, what happens?

    Not clear as to what is wrong with the screenshot you provided. All that's missing is that you don't have file extensions but the file properties clearly shows the particular file to be a CSV file and you arrive to that by right-clicking on the file and selecting <Properties>

    Am really sorry for having a problem following this but not at all clear as to the exact problem especially give what appears to be the Win10 Mail app you are using to send the message

    when I double click to open the file I get this message box, and excel is not an option to open the file with.

    If I click on the app store it does give me options to download csv apps. I should not have to download anything else because excel is part of my office 365.

    Sorry but the screenshot you included is not a message box so suspect the wrong screenshot was included

    You absolutely do not need to download anything to open a CSV file is everything else is working correctly

    What happens if you click on the Excel icon from the WIn10 Start menu and open the CSV file? (as shown in the attached screenshot)

    Without knowing else about this, would suggest doing a <Quick Repair> for Office to ensure all file associations are correctly set

    <Settings> --> <Apps> --> <Apps & Features> --> scroll down to <Microsoft 365> --> select <Modify> --> <Quick Repair>
