Windows 10 failed boot BSOD after loading 2021-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 (KB5005033)

After loading update KB5005033 - the next boot failed with a BSOD, ‘page fault in non paged area’, this auto repeat booted a few times and then gave up with the recovery blue screen…

I decided to choose the Recovery advanced option to restart in safe mode to see what that would do. To my surprise it booted with the ‘failed to load updates’ message and proceeded to uninstall it. It then booted fine…

Unless I turn off updates it keeps loading this KB and ends up with the same BSOD…

Note: this is the same type of issue I had last month, only fixed by Microsoft after waiting a month for changes to updates - see my ‘answer’ comments in the details of the question link below.
Why does this keep happening?

Exactly the same for me... See also my response on the linked thread.
So back to square one... postponing updates until this is fixed. Again.

So how does one actually communicate with MS about this??

    Update:

With some trepidation yesterday, after almost a week after the next ‘2nd Tuesday Windows Update’, I decided after a backup to let my System update - thankfully, it loaded all the latest updates and booted fine.

I noticed that the falling update from August, 2021-08 update named “Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems” (KB5005533), was no longer referenced. Instead the same “update name” for September was now 2021-09 (KB5005565).

I can only assume this is the same ‘device compatibility’ issue I faced in June and then again in August?

From a few posts I’ve seen I think before I let each 2nd Tuesday update install, tend to see this on the Wednesday in the UK, I’ll make sure I have the latest updates for my graphics card and other complex items like sound card etc…
I guess others hit the same issue and this got to Microsoft and/or device manufacturers or some process between Microsoft and device manufacturers fixed it?

It certainly seems odd that last year I had no issues like this and now with no hardware changes it’s occurred three times since June?
