Change payment method problem

I am trying to change my payment method for Microsoft 365 and I seem to going around in circles and getting nowhere.

At the moment the payment method is credit card. I want to remove this as the credit card will be cancelled soon.

I am trying to change the payment method to Paypal.

I have added paypal as a new payment option and have updated by billing address to match with the billing address for the paypal account. I have recently moved countries, so I updated the country and address.

When I go to the subscription and click 'manage' I can select the paypal, but then the message ' there is no billing address with this payment method, add a billing address and return'. I have looked every place I can to update and input billing addresses and I am at a loss.

I have also tried to add payment by bank via Ideal. But although I can add this option it just says ' no subscriptions linked'. So how do I link my subscription to this payment method??

I am getting very frustrated with this.

If anyone can help I would be very helpful for any guidance!

Thank you.

SMR22, If you cancel your subscription and purchase a new one from your current location, your OneDrive files will be safe as they will be transferred to your new 1TB storage. However, you may need to reinstall your Office apps from your new subscription.

    Warm Regards

    Dear Raymond

Thank you for your reply. I already changed the region that I am now living in, but still I can't make the change.

My next thought is to cancel the current subscription and then make a new one from scratch with the new payment details. But I'm worried about what this means for the storage I am using, my email account and the Microsoft 365 apps that i use on my laptop and ipad. Do you know anything about this?

Otherwise I will try to contact an agent as you suggested.

    Kind Regards

    Sue

    Hello SMR22,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I am a Microsoft user just like you. I hope you are doing well?

This may have to do with the location change you made. According to Microsoft, If you change your country or region in Microsoft Store, items you bought in one region might not work in another.

Microsoft 365 subscription should be purchased in the region you wish to renew the subscription.

Find link to change the your Country or region in Microsoft store:
