In Excel how can the default comma style be changed so it does not automatically add decimals?

I frequently want numbers displayed with commas but without decimals. Every time I click the "," for comma style I then have to click icon to remove the extra decimal twice. It's not huge problem but it becomes annoying when I have to do it over and over again.

Alternatively, is there a way to add a button next to the "," that would apply a custom format? I know a whole new group can be added to the ribbon but I would like to put it in the existing group so all formatting functions are in the same place.

I don't know if we can change the behavior of the "," style button on the left. (See the image below.)

But we can click the Comma [0] style on the right.

In Excel 2010, I click the scroll-down or end arrow to the right of the Styles area.

I don't know if we can reorder the Styles so that Comma [0] is more accessible. In fact, an old answers.microsoft.com thread claims that we cannot.

But we can right-click Comma [0] and click Duplicate, which creates Comma [0] 2 and puts it at the top. We can also rename the duplicate Style.

All of that might be done differently in MS365 Excel (sigh).
