Sway Analytics

Morning,

So I am looking to find more detail on the analytics given by Sway, but am having trouble to find some newer documentation. What exactly is Sway counting as views? We are currently using it as a company newsletter, and the numbers just don't add up to the real number of co-workers we have.

I have noticed that if I view a sway with my account on a laptop and then on a mobile phone I will have a total of 2 views. The sway documentation mentions that views are per user, so how exactly is this number calculated, and how can I make it more accurate? I want to have data on users not device reads.

Are the views timed? For example, if I see the sway on my mobile in 15 days will it count as a new view?

If anyone can provide some information on this, I really appreciate it.

    Dear Patricia Nogueira,

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We have finished testing from our side.

First, to be honest, we didn't find official article describing more details about how Sway counts as views.

It seems like we cannot reproduce the situation about having 2 views when we view a sway with same account on a laptop and a mobile phone, because it only counts as 1 view if we use same account to view a sway on different devices.

We'd like to help you do further troubleshooting.

We want to confirm does the situation happen when you view a specific sway or different sways?

And we notice you mentioned "Are the views timed? For example, if I see the sway on my mobile in 15 days will it count as a new view?", does it mean that the total of 2 views situation happens after you see a sway on a laptop and then after 15 days you view the same sway on mobile phone?

Or does the total of 2 views situation happen as soon as you view a sway both on laptop and mobile phone?

Look forward to your reply. Thanks for your cooperation! I hope you keep safe and healthy always.

    Sincerely,
