Excel missing after installing Office updates

This just happened to me too! My excel had updated on my Mac but other Microsoft apps hadn't because they were open. I shut them down and they updated but then Excel is gone! Not even findable in launchpad.

I opened a recent Excel file and it automatically open with Numbers.

    Hi Furnifan,

    The question you replied to made no mention of installing updates prior to Excel disappearing, so your reply was split off so it can be addressed as a new issue.

    It sounds like AutoUpdate was interrupted during the installation of Microsoft Excel. You can download the updated version of Excel. Use this installer. This should be quick and easy.
