Not getting metrics on Prod env

We have configured applications insights for our application - with custom telemetry initializer for cloud rolename. We are getting the logs as expected. Ours is a .Net core app. We are able to see metrics on our non prod env such as Availability, Failures, Performance . But the same code when deployed to our Prod does not show these metrics.

I assume you waited at least a few hours to account for the initial lag in seeing the metrics data? May also want to check if there are any differences in your app config, network or firewall rules, between your PROD and non Prod environment. Let me know if issue persists and we can help investigate further.

Yes we have waited out the initial lag - infact that code has been on Production for more than a month now. The only things that we are setting specifically for app insights are IntrumentationKey and the Cloud Role name values. The production logs do show logs under the respective Cloud RoleName - just no metrics of any kind.
