SharePoint Access Requests without context

Hi gurus,

When I receive access request notifications or check the access request list in our site, it often does not tell me which specific item or resource the person is seeking access to. I have to then email the person who has requested access to something, in order to confirm what they wish to access before I can determine whether access should be granted. This does not happen for all requests.

Any thoughts as to why this is and how I might fix this without removing the access request feature and forcing staff to manually request via email?

Thanks in advance!

Dear Vanessa G AU,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Generally, when users try to access the SharePoint item they do not have access from the browser, they will see the following message:

And they can enter the details in the box and send Request Access to the administrator:

After sending the request, admin will receive an email like the following image, and the email contains information like Request by and Requesting access to which item.

And the admin can also go to the ACCESS REQUESTS page to view it:

However, you mentioned "it often does not tell me which specific item or resource the person is seeking access to.", may I know whether your steps are the same as mine? And could you please provide a full screenshot of your problem for me?

Sincerely,
