Power Apps and Power Automate with Office 365 license

This article states that I can use Power Automate only for 90 days with my Office 365 tenant.

The licensing guide here does not mention any time limits.

My question

  1. Can I use Power Automate (only SharePoint Online actions, I am particularly interested in HTTP call) with Small Business plans as long as my subscription is valid (2-5 years, not 90days)?
  2. Can I use Power Apps to customize my SharePoint forms? (again for longer than 90 days)
  3. Can I use Power Automate / Power App with SharePoint standalone plans? (Plan 1 or Plan 2)
  4. Do the licensing requirements differ between creator of the flow and the person who executes it?

Hi AccoNoal,

First, my pleasure to assist you.

As per your description, please don’t worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

First please allow me to things easier to understand.

1.There are 3 types of licenses for Power Apps.  The "seeded" license that is included with Office 365, the per user license, and the per app license. The seeded license only covers standard connectors like SharePoint.  The per app and per user licenses cover standard or premium connectors.  All licenses apply to an individual user. And the SharePoint online (Office 365) is a standard license connector.

2.SharePoint Integration refers to using Power Apps to customize forms in a SharePoint list. All users can use a Power Apps customized form in a list if they have access to the list. But a regular Power app that uses the list as a data source requires at least the "seeded" license

If decided to use PowerApps with a Dataverse or other premium connector (such as SQL) then they need the per app or per user license plans.

So, if you are just customizing the forms inside the list itself additional licensing isn't necessary.

For your reference: Types of Power Automate licenses(Standalone plans)

Additionally, generally users and makers only need an Office 365 plan that includes Power Apps to create or use SharePoint custom list forms(reference), if PowerApps is only accessing office365 data. You can create or use custom list forms. So those users with Office 365 Enterprise E3 full licenses could access the forms successfully

However if you need to use SQL server connection (premium), all users and makers will need standalone P1 license.(reference)

I appreciate your understanding and stay safe!!

Best regards

Waqas Muhammad
