When I try to backup I get this message:

"You cannot select folders to backup in your personal OneDrive Backup because it is a work drive"

As it is a personal computer and not a work computer, How can I go around this problem and solve it!

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, you can transfer your files using the Mover Transfer Wizard. See link below for more information on how to move your files: https://support.microsoft.com/help/7fb28cad-7e25-451f-8b4b-2d1a71e5c0e9

I went on the web to find out if my one drive account is work or personal

I found that my icon is blue so it's Work, but I never realised when I set up the one drive that there was a personal or a work account.

It seems that there is no way of changing it to personal without transferring all files from the work space to the personal space. And that would mean transferring more than 40GB of files.

I use one drive across several computers and iPads. It seems that from what I read I have to stay on Work One Drive to achieve that?

    Am I right?

    Hello Dompac,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community.

I totally understand your situation, however if you are using a Work device and you have your OneDrive accounts signed in on my work laptop, you will get such message when trying to back up any folder/files.
