MX record for onmicrosoft.com

Hi there

I have a M365 E3 subscription and only 1 domain (onmicrosoft.com).

I would like to add a MX record to this domain so that I can set up a multifunction device or application to send email using Microsoft 365 or Office 365 without the need for authentication.

When I tried to add record, MX is not available in the 'Type' field.

As such, I am unable to proceed. Can you advise how can I add a MX record? Thanks.

Regards

John

    Dear John,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, I need to double-confirm with you that why you need to add MX record in the only domain as onmicrosoft.com. Generally, when your company had bought the Microsoft 365 business subscription and assign you under the onmicrosoft.com, records will automatically set up which you do not need take any action of it.

In addition, could you please let us know how you want to add MX record?

    Sincerely,
