Thank you so much for your reply.

I did the Access(Legacy) and it keeps asking for password.

The Pivot table is one way of doing it i guess.

Thank you for the site suggestion.

    Thank you for your reply.

The error that I got was when I import the password protected access from the Excel.

The reason I open the protected password access from Excel program is so that I can choose which columns to be imported to excel

    This is my step;

    1. I open Excel
    2. Get Data
    3. From Database
    4. From Microsoft Access Database
    5. import access files

it will give me the error

I read somewhere that if Importing password protected access from excel is not supported.

    Is it true?

If i remove the password it easily can work but not without password.

    Thank you again.

I set the password here (File->Account):

And I export the database by clicking Excel button in External Data:

    I can export this successfully:

    Dear arthurloibin:

Good day! Thank you for coming back and provide the specific steps. In my test I got the same error message.

Please try the following workaround to see if it helps you:

    • File > > Options
    • Data > Show legacy data import wizards > Check option From Access (Legacy) > OK
    • Data (tab) > Get Data > Legacy Wizards >  From Access (Legacy)

I noticed that you want to choose which columns to be imported to Excel, in that case, Pivot Table may meet your needs:

You can choose which columns to show:

I understand that this can only be used as a substitute and we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused. Currently, we cannot get data from password protected Microsoft Access Database in Excel. I also think this is very inconvenient. But please also understand that the forums have limited support for this, so I also suggest that you can provide your feedback directly to the developers through this site: Excel · Community (microsoft.com). Developers will also pay close attention to user feedback and suggestions.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,
