Dear Trần Viễn Phúc,

Good day!

This issue was posted to the Service Health Dashboard (SHD) as incident MO456329 starting at 2022-11-06 1.29.20 PM (CST). The user experience of this incident is: Admins can't create new user accounts in bulk through the Microsoft 365 admin center.

User Impact: Admins may be unable to create new user accounts in bulk through the Microsoft 365 admin center.

More info: Specifically, admins may be unable to import users in bulk through the Microsoft 365 admin center unless all user information fields are included.

Current status: We've identified a code issue within a recent service change which is unexpectedly preventing admins from importing users in bulk through the Microsoft 365 admin center unless all user information fields are included. We're developing a targeted code fix for this issue and anticipate being able to provide an estimated resolution timeline by the next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: Any admin may be impacted when attempting to create new user accounts in bulk through the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Tenant administrators can view current information and updates on SHD at the link here

https://portal.office.com/admin/default.aspx#@/ServiceStatus/ServiceStatusHistory.aspx.

For affected customers to easily identify the information here, this thread will be closed. You may subscribe to this thread or refer to SHD for updated information. I will also post back here once the issue is resolved on SHD.

Sincerely,

    Hi Trần Viễn Phúc,

The Service Health Dashboard (SHD) as incident MO456329Ended at Tuesday, November 8, 2022, 12:37 PM (4:37 AM UTC) with below information.

Title: Admins may be unable to create new user accounts in bulk via CSV file upload in the Microsoft 365 admin center

User Impact: Admins may have been unable to create new user accounts in bulk via CSV file upload in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

More info: Specifically, admins may have been unable to add users in bulk through the Microsoft 365 admin center. While we focused on remediation, admins could create new accounts in the Microsoft 365 admin center by manually inputting user information rather than uploading this information via CSV file.

Final status: Our code fix has finished deploying and we've confirmed that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: Any admin may have been impacted when attempting to create new user accounts in bulk when uploading user information via a CSV file in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Root cause: A code issue within a recent service change was preventing admins from importing users in bulk when user information was uploaded via CSV file in the Microsoft 365 admin center unless all user information fields were included.

Next steps: - We're investigating the code issue in the recent service change to better understand the context for the impact and identify how to prevent this issue from reoccurring.

This is the final update for the event.

    Sincerely,
