    You can always create a message in your mail application and then attach a Word document to it.

    Which specific command are you using? File > Share > Email > Send as Attachment? Or something else?

    Do you see an error message?

    Attaching the current document to an e-mail should work if your default e-mail program is MAPI-compliant.
