Power Query not responding

Whenever I open the power query editor, it will freeze on this page. I have tried to clear the cache change it to 40000 and also 4000 but it is still not working.

Any other solution? Many thanks.

    Try with selecting "Never allow data previews to download in the background". After checking it, you will have to restart your PQ. You should do this under Current Workbook - Data load rather than under Global - Data load

    See whether changing in Global sticks or not.

    Thanks Vijay for the reply. I have tried but whenever I close the workbook, the setting to 'never allow data previews' will be defaulted to untick again.
