Hi Team,

1 sharepoint will have 1TB storage if add extra license will increase 10GB .

I will like to ask , if I have Microsoft 365 Business Basic + Microsoft 365 E1 + Microsoft 365 E5 .

How much capacity can I have in total?
Is it 1tb + 10gb + 10gb = 1tb and 20gb ?

Thanks

Hello desmong,

That’s a good question.

As you can see from the table, per tenant (organization) you will get 1TB of storage plus 10GB per license. Please notice that subscription may include many licenses. For example, if you have 50 users with each an Office 365 Enterprise E3 license, plus 5 SharePoint Online Plan 2 licenses, then you will get a total of 1,55TB of storage.

You may open Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Billing > Your poducts and refer to this formula:

1TB + (10GB x Number of Licenses) = Total SharePoint Online Storage

Or as another option go to Active sites in the SharePoint admin center. In the upper right of the page, see the amount of storage available and the total storage for your subscription.

You can increase this storage to 25TB per site. To be clear, you will have to buy additional storage space and the 25TB limit is per SharePoint site, so the tenant self isn’t limited.

Best Regards,

Igor

    Hello desmong,

It is not exactly as you described. Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 E1 and Microsoft 365 E5 are the subscriptions, and every subscription may include different number of licenses. Please check this article for information about organization, subscription and licenses within Microsoft 365 Subscriptions, licenses, accounts, and tenants for Microsoft's cloud offerings - Microsoft 365 Enterprise | Microsoft Docs.

You can have 1 TB of SharePoint space per your organization plus 10 GB per license. So, for example your Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription has 5 licenses that you can assign to 5 users, and your Microsoft 365 E1 and E5 has 100 licenses each, that means you have 205 licenses that converts into 2050 GB of extra space for SharePoint storage.

    1 TB + Microsoft 365 Business Basic (5x10 GB) + Microsoft 365 E1 (100x10 GB) + Microsoft 365 E5 (100x10 GB) =3074 GB

Please notice, that we cannot know the exact number of licenses in your organization and this calculation is just an example.

    Best Regards,

    Igor
