Can't get INDIRECT function to work.

I was using MMULT(Transpose(Indirect(REF)),Indirect(REF)) where REF holds the range and it was working fine for matrix multiplication. Now, I'm getting errors. It works for Transpose(Indirect(REF)), Max(Indirect(REF)), and other array functions, but now, it stopped working for MMULT. Anyone have any idea what's going on? The cell REF holds a value like G4:H18 or some similar range. Any help is appreciated.

Okay, I found my problem. It had nothing to do with the function. It was my own mistake. I mis-specified the reference itself. My goof -- but I hope it helps others with a similar problem.

Mukesh, thanks for you reply, but the fact that the indirect function works with other array functions such as MAX, MIN, TRANSPOSE, etc. shows that it is not a problem with the SHOW FORMULAS mode, but I will check the website link you provided

The most common reason for an Excel formula not calculating is that you have inadvertently activated the Show Formulas mode in a worksheet.
