    Dear Irshad Alam,

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, we understand the situation is that SharePoint list still shows column with old name after you change a column's name.

We did a test from our side and cannot reproduce the situation. We’d like to help you do troubleshooting.

To narrow down if the situation only appears in a specific view:

You may switch to a different view by clicking All Items from upper-right corner of the list, choose a different view, see if that column can show the new name "EName".

You may also create a new view and check the outcome.

Besides, you may try to use different browsers to access the SharePoint list, see if the situation only appears in a specific browser.

If different browsers show same result that it still displays column name "Name" not "EName", you may try following way as a workaround:

Hide the "Name" column by clicking the arrow next to it and choose Column settings > Show/hide columns, untick the box for the Name column and Apply.

Then create a new single line of text column with name "EName".

    Hope above can help you!

In addition, we'd like to confirm that does the situation only appear in this SharePoint list? If you try a different list, does it work?

If our understanding of the scenario is not consistent with yours, feel free to point it out, we will continue trying best to assist you.

We look forward to your reply.

Hope you keep safe and healthy always!

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator
