hello, I need help.

I've been trying to reset my Microsoft planner password but it says that I can't reset my own password because it isn't properly set up for my organization. I've tried contacting my organization for the past few months now and they still haven't contacted my back.

    Hello,

Thanks for querying in this forum.

According to your description, it seems like you cannot reset password for your Microsoft 365 work or school account and you cannot sign in Microsoft Planner.

May I know if my understanding of the scenario is consistent with yours?

If yes, I'd like to share with you following information:

Generally, to let users reset password by themselves, the Microsoft 365 administrator in the organization needs to turn on self-service password reset for users, as descried in this article

Let users reset their own passwords - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs

Otherwise, users still need to contact administrator to help them reset password.

From your description, it looks like you Microsoft 365 administrator hasn't enabled self-service password reset. And you cannot contact them.

Very sorry to know the issue. I deeply understand it has affected your daily work. I totally get your frustration and understand your predicament. I want to help you directly, but I'm afraid we don't have permission to access your account to help reset password, as only the Microsoft 365 admin in your organization has the correct permission.

For reference: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin

We'd recommend you try contacting Phone Support. The support team has higher permission to check your Microsoft 365 account from back end and further help you. They have correct escalation channel. This is also the most efficient way in handling this case for you. For your reference: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs

In addition, if our understanding of the scenario is not consistent with yours, feel free to point it out.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Hope you are keeping safe and well!

    Best Regards,

    Tina
