- On the Excel menu, click Preferences, and then under Formulas and Lists, click Custom Lists .
- Click Add.
- Type the values for your list in the order that you want them sorted, with a comma between each value.
- When you are finished, click Add, and then close the Custom Lists box.
Custom Sort Order in Excel 2016
I have got Microsoft Excel 2016, and I have created my own custom sort orders before. However, whenever I try and create any new ones now, my existing orders come up and I can't see the option to create a new one - Does anyone know how to create a custom sort order on Excel

In the Excel menu, click Preferences, and then under Formulas and Lists, click Custom Lists .
Then click Add to create your own Lists.
