select unselect objects in powerpoint

Hi,

I've upgraded to the latest version of PowerPoint, and am having an issue with unselecting objects. In the older version of PowerPoint, I could click + shift to select multiple objects, and then click + shift again to deselect those I didn't want. This way of deselecting doesn't work in the new version anymore. Now it seems I have to press control and then double click the object I want to unselect. The older way was sooooo much easier and more intuitive. Any hope we can get back to it?

Thanks.

Marco

Both Shift + click and CTRL + Click (single) work here.

I have version 2204 Build 15128,20178. I'm on Windows 10 though but if it was different in 11 others would have noticed.
