OneDrive Backup Error

OneDrive will not perform a backup. I get an error message that My Music in Documents is a directory junction or symlink and cannot be backed up. To continue, move or delete this item and try again. Neither of these work.

There is no My Music in Documents only an icon labelled Music with a blue arrow. I did try deleting and moving it but it did not resolve the issue. Each time I retry it gets to about 7000 files and the error appears again.

I have tried unhiding folders and performed a search and no result.

I am using an updated version of Windows 10.

Hopefully this will help in locating all Symbolic Links and Junction Points. I'm not sure how to delete any once you find them. https://www.elevenforum.com/t/find-all-symbolic-links-and-junction-points-in-windows.4225/

OneDrive is not a backup, it’s a cloud location of your data.

The default installation of Office 365 and its OneDrive component uploads all the contents of the PC  \My Documents\ folders to OneDrive, (syncs) and there will be a OneDrive folder in File Explorer containing all the OneDrive content. And in Word etc the default Save location is set to OneDrive.

There is no need for the user to do anything or alter any settings
