I saw the same EXACT question. However, the reply lists are you using 2007? and goes on with directions. Note that the question says OFFICE 2000.

Im running windows 10, no need to do reset or have tons of files clogging up my system it at this point is still a fresh install. I disabled my Norton 360 and have no other issues. That didnt work either. If I choose Ignore error codes keep flying up Error 6 etc etc.... I own the program, have the registration code and would appreciate a solution to not modify all my settings or be forced to keep buying more programs when this should work fine.

Again this is OFFICE 2000 NOT 2007 OR ANYOTHER RUNNING WINDOWS 10

Thanks

    Hello Thee,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and appreciate your time taken for sharing detailed information. I could share with you some of my thoughts on this issue.

In fact, we do not recommend installing Office 2000 on Windows 10. However, if you want to install Office 2000, this is also possible. This error report, you could use it simply by ignoring this error message. For details, you could refer to this link.
