OneDrive search function not working

I have been using the OneDrive app on my Android devices for three years. I recently got a new Samsung phone and the file search function is no longer bringing up any results for folders or photos in those folders. I have signed out of the app, cleared the cache and data, signed back in, multiple times and still get no results for files and photos that exist. Not being able to search makes this app quite unhelpful for useful storage.

Just to try and isolate the issue, can you use the online version of OneDrive via a web browser to search for your required files?

    Kind regards

Samsung Galaxy s20 plus. I did find a way to uninstall updates and reinstall them. I tried that, but no change.

Thanks, Tim, unfortunately on my phone I don't have the option of uninstalling the app. I can only disable it.

    Hi DanaK42,

My name is Tim and I’m sorry to see you’re experiencing issues. I will gladly assist you today.

There was a previous issue with OneDrive today which has hopefully been resolved however you’re still experiencing issues?

Have you tried simply uninstalling the app and then reinstalling?

    Kind regards

    Tim
