Word Browser Version Accessibility

When opening my document the ribbon is extremely large taking up almost 1/3 of the screen I have tried everything to revert it back to default to no avail, there is no quick access toolbar available so I am unable to exit touch mode if this is the issue, right clicking on the ribbon simply does nothing (my mouse and other parts of the document are perfectly functional) I have changed my resolution etc etc. The accessibility is atrocious which exists for no other reason than to encourage you to install the desktop version :(

Similar apps such as google docs do not suffer from this issue

Is there any fix or am I forced to submit to Microsoft
