Microsoft Word Dictation glitching

Microsoft Word Dictation has been glitching in the past month, I think since I updated to a newer version of word.

It will hear things that have not been said when I am making no noise, most commonly “hi” “ Goodbye” “OK” . most of the time these words appear in the grayscale font, where dictation isn't sure if it will input them or not yet. and most of the time they don't end up being translated into black text, they just wait there for a little bit and then vanish.

I have never had this problem before, and and I don't believe it to be my microphone or computer because I haven't changed either and dictation software my computer itself is not having this issue. i've restarted my computer and closed and reopened Word many times and it has done nothing to help. There is very little background noise in my house where I am working, so I don't think it is caused by that either.

this problem makes it almost impossible to use the dictation because if I pause for too long it will start hearing things that aren't there. and if I'm trying to type and supplement it with dictation, this causes issues where I'm suddenly typing in the wrong place because the dictation just inputted a word i didn't say.

    I understand you are having an issue with Microsoft Word Dictation glitching after recent updates.

    To assist you with this, may I confirm what type of Operating system you are using?

    However, please try doing the following:

    1. Try opening Microsoft Word from Safe Mode
    2. Repairs the Microsoft Office
    3. Check for Microsoft office updates and also OS updates
    4. Disable any add-ins if you installed any
    5. Uninstall and Reinstall if the issue persists:

    Please note: for Mac OS, you may not need to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office, as it is rare before you install the Office to fix the issue
