Error in Syncing one notes

This is the error message I get every time ,' We can't sync the notebook because you're offline or because the network location is unavailable. (Error code: 0x3) ' help ?

I understand that you have a concern on sync OneNote notebook with message "We can't sync the notebook because you're offline or because the network location is unavailable. (Error code: 0x3)". Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you by this behavior. Before moving forward, we need more detailed information about the situation you are experiencing.

Kindly share with us the information below:

  • May I know where the notebook is saved, OneDrive or SharePoint?
  • How many notebooks cannot be sync?
  • Kindly provide a screen shot of the message or the sync status window.

Suggestions:

  1. Kindly check the available storage quota where the notebook is save. SharePoint > upper right side click gear icon (Settings) > site settings > under Site Collection Administration > Storage Metrics. OneDrive > lower left > click Return to classic OneDrive > upper
  2. Kindly check the Notebook path if it is located locally or online. Locally saved the path will be like this c:\…user\Documents\OneNote Notebooks\name of the notebook. Online saved path will be like this https://tenantname-my.sharepoint.com/personal/UPN
  3. If the path is locally saved, kindly change the location, click on File tab > Settings > Properties > Change location > Select you OneDrive or SharePoint.
