After trying dictation on word and pausing it, I am am unable to continue in sentence / lower case any longer.

This issue continues even if I open a new word page. Tried F8 key a multiple times and did some random trails to get back to write in sentence text / lower case.

Is this a bug with MS Word?

    Hello Apk_007,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community**.**

Your current situation is that after using the dictation function, whether it is manual input or dictation input, the letters of the words are all capitalized, right?

When did this problem arise? Did you make any changes to your Word or dictation settings before this problem occurred?

Apart from Word, do your other Office components have the same problem when using the dictation function?

What is your current version of Word application? You can find relevant product information by following the steps below.

    1. Open Word , and select Account. **Note:**If you don't see Account or you already have a file or document open, choose File from the menu, and then select either Account or Help from the list on the left.
    2. Under Product Information, you'll find your Office product name and, in some cases, the full version number.

It is recommended that you check whether "All caps" is checked in the font settings, as shown below:

It is recommended that you open Word in safe mode, and then try to use the dictation function to see if it works normally. This may be caused by some add-ons.

    1. Right-click the Start button (lower-left corner) in Windows, and click Run. Alternatively, you can press the Windows logo key and the R key on your keyboard.
    2. In the Run box, type winword /safe, and click OK.(Note: there is a space between winword and /)

Also, it is recommended that you click Start, enter %AppData%\Microsoft\Templates in Search programs and files, and press Enter. Then back up and delete files with a .dotm suffix, such as Normal.dotm.

If the problem still exists in safe mode, then it is recommended that you try to repair the Word application, you can click here how to repair Word.

We need to go through a series of steps to find the true cause of the problem. If the steps above don't solve your problem, please let me know and I will continue to help you with the problem.

    Sincere greetings
