We have been trying for some time now to find a way to create a report of all shared documents (in SharePoint and OneDrive) using a PowerShell script. I've already tried using Purview and ExchangeOnline cmdlet to generate the report.

This also works well, but unfortunately with this solution you can only access data from files and directories that are not older than a year. At this point,

I have two questions

1- Is there a Microsoft tool (other than Purview) that can be used to create or access the desired report?

2- I have seen that in SharePoint it is possible to create such reports per SharePoint group (SharePoint group settings ] site usage ] below "Shared with external users" section).

Unfortunately, I did not find in the Microsoft documentation how to access this data via a PowerShell API (I'm talking about the data in the GUI and not the data in the created CVS file). Would they know more at this point?

    Dera Memo,

Greetings! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

I carefully went through your question, and did a lot of research about your question, but I'm afraid! please let us work together and find a solution to this. Thanks.

May be this way: Report on sharing - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn, but you mentioned this is not what you're looking for. I'm afraid!

About this question, I suggest you post a new question to Microsoft Q & A with SharePoint tag, so that Engineers from that side can help clarify if there is any PowerShell script that can achieve this requirement. To go to Microsoft Q & A, please use this link: Microsoft Q & A Community to post a new thread. I am sure our Expert Engineers from that side will focus on your specific situation and share specific suggestions.

Thank you for understanding this. We appreciate your cooperation and good luck!
