When I try to add a file "from computer" as an attachment to a planner task I get an error stating:

"You no longer have access to '[filename]'"

I am able to attach a link to the file on to the task but not a file itself.

How do I fix this?

    Dear mhabi100,

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

From your description, it seems that you cannot upload attachments from computer to Planner task and you encountered an error message.

If my understanding above is right, we have also tested it on our side, and we can upload the file from the local successfully, as shown below:

We cannot reproduce the same situation as yours.

Given this situation, we’d suggest you change another browser and use another file to check if the same problem will occur.

At the same time, to better understand your situation and narrow down this issue, could you provide the information below?

    1. Could you provide the screenshot of error message?
    2. May I know if the other files have the same problem?
    3. May I know if the other colleagues have the same problem?
    4. May I know if the other plans and tasks have the same problem?

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Sukie | Microsoft Community Moderator
