MS Planner Notifications

Hello All, I have a query regarding MS Planner (Browser version). We have started using it in the office to keep track of tasks and actions, but we are faced with the problem that only some are receiving the comments notifications. I have checked there notification settings by clicking in the gear icon top right and they have the same settings as me.

I have also checked their notifications settings in MS Teams but they are not getting the notifications.

Does anybody know which settings need to be changed and how?

We are using Win 11, Office 365.

Also is it possible to add the Planner Icon to the Taskbar?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Steve

Hi

Thank you for posting the thread on our forum.

Based on your description, it seems that some of you in your organization can't receive the comments notifications in Planner task. ( If there have any misunderstanding, please feel free to post back.

  1. Generally, the comment in the task will sent to Your plan's Microsoft 365 Group and Anyone who has already commented on the task.
  1. If you want to modify who receives task comment email notifications for a specific task, see Reset who receives email notifications on comments for a specific task (microsoft.com)
  2. So may I know if the people who can receive the comments notification have commented the task before? Try to comment the task then to see if you can receive the notification.
  3. Besides, if you have do the steps above but still can't receive notification, please try to change a different browser to see the result.

2. About the second question: add the Planner Icon to the Taskbar

  1. If you mean that you want to pin the app in Windows desktop taskbar, you can from the StartWindows logo Start button menu or apps list, press and hold (or right-click) an app, then select MorePin to taskbar Pin-shaped Pin icon.
  2. Or if you mean that like to pin the Planner in the taskbar like the below? if so, the app was already in the taskbar, if you can't see it, click More Office apps, then you can see it.

We appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial suggestions may not resolve the problem very soon. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. So, Please kindly provide more information below to let us work further.

May I know if all tasks in Planner have this problem or just a specific task have this issue?

Hope the information can help you. If there have any unclear or misunderstanding, please feel free to post back and let us know. We're looking forward to your reply and will help you all the time!

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated ! Hope you keep safe and have a good day!

Best regards,

Stacey
